Acupuncture is founded on the principle of balance. Acupuncture involves the insertion of sterilized stainless steel disposable needles the diameter of a strand of hair on precise points mapped on the whole body. Specific techniques are performed to elicit physiological changes by stimulating the nervous system, generating the production of endorphins, promoting circulation, and blocking pain receptors. All clients are recommended at least six to twelve treatments to allow their body time to respond to transitioning from a place of imbalance back to balance. Follow up treatments help you quash health problems before they arise, and they leave you feeling healthier. Even if you are free of health conditions it's never too late to utilize Acupuncture as a form of maintaining health.

Chinese Herbal Medicine is a fundamental component of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Herbal Medicine can be a standalone treatment or be incorporated to supplement Acupuncture treatments in achieving health. Chinese Herbal Medicine incorporates knowledge from the “Materia Medica” which is an herbal pharmaceutical text that holds information on herbs and herbal formulas to treat disease. The goal of Chinese Herbal Medicine is to address the underlying root cause of your symptoms using herbal pharmaceuticals which come in raw form, capsules, granules, tinctures, and tea pills. Herbal Medicine can treat acute and chronic conditions; in addition to being prophylactic. Seeing a certified Chinese Herbalist is important to obtain the correct herbal prescription for your health. Chinese Herbal Medicine is not a substitute for prescribed medications, and contraindications are addressed prior to being prescribed any herbal medicine to avoid any adverse drug-herb interaction. You will be advised to provide medical history with recent laboratory workup, over the counter medications, list of supplements and medications taken or currently being taken during your Chinese Herbal Medicine consultation.
